This section provides essential information to help you plan your journey from Nigeria to Windhoek.
1. TRAVEL TO WINDHOEK
Nigerian participants can travel to Windhoek through connecting international routes. Depending on the airline and travel date, connections may be available through major African aviation hubs.
Destination: Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH)
Approximately 40 km from central Windhoek.
The Summit Secretariat will provide registered delegates with recommended travel information and airport-transfer arrangements.
2. VISA & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Nigerian passport holders should confirm the applicable Namibia visa and entry requirements before making travel arrangements.
Requirements can change, so delegates should rely on the latest information from the Namibian diplomatic authorities and official immigration channels.
Delegates who require an invitation letter for visa or travel purposes may request the appropriate documentation from the Summit Secretariat after completing registration.
Important
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have:
• A valid passport;
• The appropriate visa or entry authorization, where required;
• Return/onward travel documentation where applicable;
• Accommodation confirmation;
• Travel insurance where appropriate; and
• Any other documents required by Namibian authorities.
3. OFFICIAL SUMMIT INVITATION
Registered Nigerian delegates who require an official invitation letter may contact the **Summit Secretariat**.
The invitation letter may be used to support:
* Visa applications;
* Institutional travel approval;
* Corporate participation;
* Business travel documentation; and
* Other legitimate travel requirements.
Invitation letters are issued subject to successful registration and verification of participant information.
4. ACCOMMODATION IN WINDHOEK
Delegates are encouraged to book accommodation close to the Summit venue or within convenient access to central Windhoek.
The Summit Secretariat may provide information on:
• Official partner hotels;
• Recommended hotels;
• Corporate accommodation rates;
• Airport transfers; and
• Transportation arrangements.
Early booking is strongly recommended.
5. AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Registered international delegates will be able to access coordinated airport-transfer arrangements between Hosea Kutako International Airport and Windhoek.
Details of official transportation arrangements will be communicated to registered delegates before arrival.
6. GETTING AROUND WINDHOEK
Windhoek is the capital and principal commercial centre of Namibia.
Delegates can use:
• Pre-arranged Summit transportation;
• Hotel transportation;
• Taxis;
• Ride-hailing/transport services where available; and
• Private vehicle hire.
For official Summit activities, delegates are encouraged to use transportation arrangements recommended by the Summit Secretariat.

9. CURRENCY
Namibia uses the Namibian Dollar (NAD).
The Namibian Dollar is linked to the South African Rand, which is also widely accepted in Namibia.
Delegates should make appropriate arrangements for international payments and carry suitable payment methods for their travel needs.
10. WEATHER IN DECEMBER
December falls during Namibia’s summer period.
Windhoek can be warm during the day, with cooler conditions possible in the evenings. Delegates should therefore pack comfortable business attire suitable for warm weather, together with a light layer for evenings.
