The Summit 2026

NAMIBIA–NIGERIA TRADE & INVESTMENT SUMMIT 2026
Connecting Markets, Unlocking Opportunities, Building Africa’s Future

ABOUT THE SUMMIT
The Namibia–Nigeria Trade & Investment Summit 2026 is a premier international trade, investment and economic partnership platform designed to strengthen diplomatic, commercial and investment relations between the Republic of Namibia and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, while creating practical pathways for businesses, investors and institutions to participate in Africa’s growing economic opportunities.

Nigeria and Namibia share longstanding diplomatic relations founded on common African values, historical ties and a shared commitment to economic development. Today, both countries possess complementary strengths that can support deeper economic cooperation.

Nigeria represents one of Africa’s largest consumer and investment markets, with substantial entrepreneurial, industrial, financial, technological and human-capital capacity.

Namibia offers political and economic stability, abundant natural resources, strategic access to the Atlantic Ocean, emerging renewable-energy opportunities and significant potential across mining, agriculture, aquaculture, tourism, logistics, manufacturing, infrastructure and industrial development.

The implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) further creates an important framework for expanding bilateral trade, attracting investment, developing regional value chains, promoting cross-border business partnerships and enabling African enterprises to establish and expand operations across the continent.

The Summit is designed to transform these opportunities into practical commercial relationships, investment partnerships, joint ventures and bankable projects between Namibia, Nigeria and the wider African market.

Through high-level dialogues, investment presentations, business-to-business engagements, government-to-business interactions, exhibitions, networking sessions and investment matchmaking, the Summit will provide a platform for stakeholders to connect, exchange ideas, identify opportunities and establish commercially viable partnerships.

BEYOND WINDHOEK: CONNECTING INVESTORS TO NAMIBIA’S REGIONS
A distinctive feature of the Namibia–Nigeria Trade & Investment Summit 2026 is its commitment to extending investment engagement beyond the Summit venue in Windhoek.
Namibia’s Regional Governments will be actively integrated into the investment process, giving Nigerian investors and participating international businesses direct access to investment opportunities across different parts of Namibia.

Following the Summit, interested investors will have opportunities to undertake regional investment and business missions, visit project sites, engage Regional Governments and local stakeholders, assess available opportunities and explore potential investment destinations.

This approach is designed to create a direct pathway from:
Summit Engagement → Investment Matchmaking → Regional Visits → Project Identification → Partnerships → Investment & Implementation

Through this model, the Summit seeks to ensure that discussions translate into real investment opportunities, project development, employment creation and sustainable economic impact.

STRATEGIC AREAS OF OPPORTUNITY

The Summit will showcase opportunities across key sectors including:
Mining & Natural Resources | Energy & Renewable Energy | Oil & Gas | Agriculture & Agro-Processing | Aquaculture | Manufacturing | Infrastructure | Logistics & Transport | Tourism & Hospitality | Real Estate | Healthcare | Technology & Innovation | Financial Services | Green Economy | Industrial Development | Trade & Export

The platform will also encourage cross-border collaboration in technology transfer, skills development, research and innovation, financing, market access and regional value-chain development.

THE AFRICAN OPPORTUNITY
The Summit is positioned within the broader vision of an increasingly integrated African economy.

By connecting the markets, capital, technology, expertise and entrepreneurial capacity of Nigeria and Namibia, the Summit seeks to facilitate partnerships that extend beyond bilateral trade and contribute to broader African economic integration.

Through the opportunities created by AfCFTA, participating businesses can explore Namibia and Nigeria as strategic gateways into wider regional and continental markets.

The Summit therefore serves not only as a Namibia–Nigeria business platform, but also as a bridge for wider African trade, investment and economic cooperation.

OUR THEME
“Connecting Markets, Unlocking Opportunities, Building Africa’s Future.”
The theme reflects the Summit’s central objective: to connect markets, capital, technology, governments and entrepreneurs while unlocking opportunities that can contribute to sustainable economic growth and Africa’s shared prosperity.

VISION
To establish the foremost annual Namibia–Nigeria platform for trade, investment, innovation and sustainable economic partnerships, creating a direct pathway from international business engagement to regional investment and project development across Namibia and Nigeria.

MISSION
To connect governments, Regional Governments, investors, businesses, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, development partners and other stakeholders in creating lasting partnerships that accelerate economic transformation, industrialisation, job creation, innovation and sustainable development.

INSTITUTIONAL & STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
The Summit is being convened in collaboration with local and international stakeholders, government and institutional partners, business organisations, professional associations, development partners, investors and private-sector participants from Nigeria, Namibia and beyond.

The International Institute for Multidisciplinary & Development Research (IIMDR) serves as the Institutional Host of the Summit, providing the institutional, research, multidisciplinary and development framework supporting the programme.

Namibia–Nigeria Media (NNM) powers the Summit’s media, communications, publicity and strategic stakeholder-engagement activities, supporting the visibility, reach and international positioning of the Summit across Nigeria, Namibia and the wider African business community.

Together with government institutions, Regional Governments, business organisations, financial institutions, development partners and private-sector stakeholders, the Summit ecosystem is designed to create a credible platform where policy meets business, opportunity meets capital, and relationships become projects.

FROM CONNECTION TO INVESTMENT
The Namibia–Nigeria Trade & Investment Summit 2026 is ultimately about moving beyond conversations.

It is about creating connections that lead to opportunities, opportunities that lead to partnerships, and partnerships that lead to investment and measurable economic impact.
By bringing together decision-makers, investors, businesses and institutions from Namibia, Nigeria and beyond, the Summit seeks to contribute to a stronger framework for African trade, investment, industrialisation and sustainable economic development.
